Traffic Synergy is my favourite general South African online affiliate platform. Their reporting, although not quite real-time, updates regularly and sends you a notification when a sale has been made. They’re good payers, and their support people are pretty on it as well.

OfferForge
OfferForge features a similar interface, with some campaigns overlapping as well. It also features international affiliate marketing campaigns targeting the UK and the USA. They have some very interesting niche paid search (Pay-Per-Click) campaigns from time to time, so if you’ve got quality content on these, or if your a PPC head, it may be an idea to investigate their non-organic affliatiate campaigns.

Update: OfferForge now also runs a campaign called top car insurance, which offers a R45 per lead commission and up to 12 free car insurance quotes.
Dial Direct 5-star Affiliate Marketing Programme
If you’re going to put some hefty effort into car insurance affiliate marketing, then this is the campaign for you. Whereas the above-mentioned affiliate campaigns focus on payment per lead (or click) submitted, these guys play a bit harder – comm per deal closed.
This does tend to flush out all the leeches a bit, but if you’re driving them well-targeted traffic and your site’s conversion rate is good, there’s some good money to be made. Dial Direct pays affiliates the first month’s premium for all car insurance policies sold via your site. So if you’ve got small to medium volumes of website traffic and crap closing rates, a pay-per-lead model may suit you better. And when you step from pay-per-lead to pay-per-sale, it’s probably going to put the hurt on your revenue for a while, but if you want to play big league you’ll have to graduate from junior school eventually.

Safari Now Affiliate Programme
Then of course there is SafariNow.com – a travel/accommodation booking site that runs an affiliate programme for travel content publishers. I have yet to use this one – primarily because I haven’t been able to install their widget on this blog yet.
